Onboarding Roadmap
Welcome to the Milesoft Developer Portal! This guide is designed to get your workspace set up, credentials verified, and your first Spring Boot application running in GCP — in under 30 minutes (once your cloud environment is provisioned and billing is active).
What is Milesoft?
Milesoft is an enterprise-grade application enablement platform. It combines automated cloud scaffolding with a powerful suite of SDK microservices and pre-built infrastructure integrations to eliminate boilerplate, maximize engineering velocity, and ensure strict production standards from day one.
Scaffold with Tenancy
Bootstrap Spring Boot + React projects configured instantly with strict multi-tenant isolation, data caching configs, and MapStruct mapping.
Automated GCP Setup
Provision cloud components (Secret Manager, Storage buckets, Cloud Run instances, Pub/Sub topics) with strict IAM roles in seconds.
Plug-and-Play SDKs
Connect programmatically to centralized services for Accounts (Identity), Contacts (Graph topologies), Gamification, Templates, and Messaging.
Unified Integrations
Instantly deploy pre-built bridges for Stripe card payments, Intuit QuickBooks accounting, Vertex AI cognitive pipelines, and Twilio gateways.
# Core Quickstart Milestones
Complete these four primary milestones in order to bring your local workstation online.
Prerequisites & Local Authentication
Est: 10 minsPrepare your workspace tooling and authenticate your developer identities. This sets up the fundamental connections needed to access premium SDKs and secrets management.
Install Java (JDK 17+) and the Google Cloud CLI (`gcloud`).
Login to Milesoft CLI and authenticate Google Application Default Credentials (ADC).
Application Provisioning & Bootstrapping
Est: 10 minsInitialize your Google Cloud project structure and scaffold your optimized Spring Boot microservice. The CLI handles API enabling, bucket setup, and code generation automatically.
Enables Secret Manager, Storage, Pub/Sub, and creates required IAM roles.
Downloads the Spring Boot blueprint complete with pre-configured gradle files.
Cloud Deployment
Est: 5 minsBuild and package your containerized microservice, submitting it remote to Google Cloud Build. Deploy it live on Cloud Run, then update your environment variables.
Submits your source with Cloud Build, compiling using the Dockerfile manifest.
Replaces the "TBD" parameters in http-client.env.json with your live service URL.
Personal Access Tokens (PAT)
Est: 5 minsGenerate a secure Personal Access Token (PAT) using the Milesoft CLI. This token authenticates your HTTP requests against the platform gateways and secures interactions with your newly deployed Cloud Run service endpoints.
Retrieve a secure administrative or developer PAT associated with your roles.
Place the token inside http-client.private.env.json for safe HTTP calls.
Platform & Reference Concepts
Once your local setup is complete, use these comprehensive guides to expand your service capabilities and understand platform designs.
